TRAVEL ASSISTANCE COVER
Previous provisions
- Insurance scope and period of cover: This insurance cover is valid throughout the world and in Spain, outside of the insured's province of primary residence, with the exception of those covers which expressly have exclusive validity abroad. Its period of cover is linked to accident insurance.
- Validity: To receive covered benefits the insured's address must be in Spain, the insured must reside in Spain and his or her time out of said primary residence must not exceed 60 days per trip.
Contract specifications - exclusions
- Covers and benefits which were not requested from the insurer and were not carried out with or by agreement, except in situations of force majeure or proven material impossibility.
- Those illnesses or injuries derived as a consequence of chronic ailments, or those existing before the beginning of the journey, as well as their complications and relapses.
- Claims which occur in the event of war, demonstrations, popular uprisings, acts of terrorism and sabotage, strikes, detentions by any authority for a crime not stemming from a traffic accident, restrictions to public circulation or any other case of force majeure, unless the insured proves that the claim is not related to these events.
- Suicide or illnesses and injuries resulting from suicide attempts or caused intentionally by the titleholder to him or herself, as well as those derived directly or indirectly from the titleholder's criminal activities.
- The treatment of illnesses or pathological states caused by the intentional ingestion or administration of toxins (drugs), narcotics or by the use of medicine without a physician's prescription.
- Charges for prosthetics, glasses and contact lenses, births and pregnancies - except due to unforeseeable complications during the first six months - and any kind of mental illnesses
- Injuries sustained while performing work which is manual by nature.
- Events caused while practicing sports for competition, in hig-risk sports or activities (rafting, hang-gliding, mountain climbing etc) as well as rescuing people in the sea, mountain or desert.
- Any type of medical or pharmaceutical expense which is less than 9 euros.
- When transporting or repatriating the deceased: Funeral ceremony and burial expenses.
